The Starbucks Winter Menu Is Here: 10 Updates to Check Out

Winter’s here, but Starbucks has you covered with brand-new drinks and tasty bites that’ll warm you right up.

First up is the Cortado, Starbuck’s new espresso, which originated in Spain. It’s small but strong, an 8-ounce mix of 3 ristretto shots of espresso (blonde roast) and steamed milk. You don’t have to get it with whole milk. You can opt for oat, soy, almond, coconut, heavy cream, half and half, nonfat, or 2% milk. There’s also a nondairy or regular vanilla sweet cream option.

My take: It’s bold, smooth, and creamy, and I love it. While it’s only served hot, I took it home and poured it over a cup of ice. I did taste it hot, and it was so good either way.

You can also try the new Brown Sugar Oatmilk Cortado.

Returning to the menu, for a limited time, are the customer-favorite Pistachio Latte and Pistachio Cream Cold Brew. These are sweet, vanilla-pistachio tasting drinks that my husband can’t stop talking about. He especially liked the Pistachio Cream Cold Brew, which comes with 2 pumps vanilla syrup, pistachio cream cold foam, and salted brown butter topping.

Matcha: Starbucks has also updated its matcha powder, now sweetened with classic syrup, so you can adjust your matcha’s sweetness to your preference. You can enjoy a hot matcha or iced matcha.

Food: New food items include the Vanilla Bean Custard Danish and the certified vegan Spicy Falafel Pocket.

The new Starbucks Single-Origin Ethiopia is a blonde roast coffee featuring “ginger blossom aromas and notes of tangerine, lemon balm, and sweet dates”. Available in whole bean.

Hot Honey is back at Starbucks Reserve locations in Seattle, New York City, and Chicago where you can try the Hot Honey Cortado, Hot Honey Ginger Spritz, Hot Honey Dirty Chai, and the Hot Honey Espresso Martini.

Gift a Starbucks gift card (for someone else or yourself) and head on over to try these new drinks and food.
