At the end of April I set out on a cross country road trip that lasted six days. I had plenty of time to test everything, but not all of them made the cut. Check out these must have travel items that help whether you’re taking a road trip, going on a cruise, or taking a flight.

Having comfortable, warm clothes while traveling is must, and these jogger sets deliver. The buttery soft material makes it so cozy. This is now one of my go-to lounge sets. It’s not too hot. There are two side pockets and a drawstring waistband.

Whether you’re sleeping on a plane or in a hotel room like I did, sleeping in an unfamiliar place is challenging. It’s hard to relax, especially with lights around. Rest makes some nice cooling sleep items, like this eye mask. It completely blocks out light so you can enjoy darkness in any situation. The cooling fabric is so soothing, and helped me fall asleep and stay comfortable. It’s has an adjustable band so it fits just about anyone. Plus, it comes with a travel bag and is machine washable.

The Alpaka Elements Tote Bag has so many features, making it perfect for travel. I’m going to be honest — I didn’t think much of it at first. I decided to use this for my toiletries. I kept my smaller toiletry bag inside it with all my other toiletries and items that didn’t fit in the smaller bag. This tote ended up being one of my stand out must have travel items. It has a large main pocket, front and back slide pockets, two interior elastic bottle sleeves, and four internal slip pockets, and magnetic closure. The rugged material was easy to clean and ability to clip things on to the exterior was super convenient. The only thing I would change is adding some cushioning to the shoulder straps, because this thing can carry so much.

The Bosca Backpack is so luxurious with its fine craftmanship. It’s hand crafted with Italian leather. I used this bag for my laptop and accessories (charging cables, two mice, two keyboards, cleaning wipes, and pens. I could’ve definitely packed more in there, but that was all I needed. The padded back pocket kept my laptop protected. It has two full size pockets, padded adjustable shoulder straps, a trolly strap, antique brass finish hardware, and cast metal shoulder strap adjuster. Plus, the water-resistant sealed zipper keeps everything protected from the rain. It’s a well-made, high-quality item.

This little blender is perfect for on the go, whether you’re blending smoothies, overnight oats (which I do), sauces, dressings, and smoothie bowls. It’s so easy to use and clean. The blending cup doubles as a drink to go cup with straw and cover. Plus, it breaks up ice, fruits, oats, and just about anything in seconds. I’ve tried other blenders, and none were as good as this one.

I love a good tasting sparkling water to help me stay hydrated. It’s sometimes hard to remember to drink enough water when traveling, but it’s so important. Waterloo sparkling waters have a nice flavor with no calories, sugar, or sweeteners.

Urban Outfitters knit flare pant and off the shoulder top are so cozy and lightweight, perfect for travel. The flare pants have a drawstring waist, and the off shoulder top is stylish. While I love this set, I feel it does need pockets and a slightly thicker pant. I opted for some biker shorts underneath.

The MSI – Pro MP161 E2 portable monitor is so convenient for travel, because it’s lightweight (less than two pounds) and ultra slim (0.7″ depth) . Having a second monitor helps me be more efficient and productive. Most of the time I use it to display my research so I have my main monitor as my workspace. The built-in kickstand can be used for portrait or landscape mode. It comes with protective case, a Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, and a Type-C to Type-C cable. The picture is stellar and even has less blue light, anti flicker, and night vision. Built-in speakers offer sound when needed.
